A new hope for Czech cross-country skiing, Barbora Havlíčková started to show her potential as a young girl competing with adult women. Aged 16, she competed at a senior championship
in a relay race, a year later she represented her country at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang as the youngest member of the Czech Olympic team.

Before leaving for the Olympics, she won two races at the Czech National Championship – 10 km classic and 10 km freestyle events. She can also boast a 4th and a 5th place from the 2018 FIS Junior World Ski Championship.

In the 2018–2019 season, the up-and-coming cross-country skier from Vimperk, who used
to train with Czech cross-country skiing stars such
as Kateřina Neumannová, Stanislav Frühauf,
and Martin Koukal, focused on the junior series OPA Cup, becoming the winner of the overall standing in the U-20 category with eight wins and one 3^rd place. In January 2020 she made her debut at the FIS Cross-country World Cup in Nové Město na Moravě.

Apart from cross-country skiing, Barbora also represents the Czech Republic in mountain running; she won a youth event at the World Mountain Running Championship, became a junior European Champion and got silver medal from junior event at the World Championship.
